Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a 5.8GHz microstrip antenna array for wireless sensor network server node application. The 1×4 microstrip antenna array is composed of the parallel-fed network and four hemline-fed patch elements. The antenna is simulated and optimized using EM simulation software. The array is compared to a conventional one fed at the radiation side. The proposed antenna achieves smaller size and higher gain. The results are presented to validate the proposed design.
