Abstract
This paper presents the eavesdropper performance to tap and detect encoded spectral chips from optical CDMA networks. The probability of correctly detecting encoded spectral chip pulses is investigated based on Modified Double Weight (MDW) Spectral Amplitude Optical CDMA. For probability of correct detection of 0.5, an eavesdropper receiver would need to detect SNR of 8 dB. The eavesdropper performance is investigated by simulation. Tapping efficiency of 20% is enough to tap encoded spectral chips with reasonable sensitivity.
