  • Abstract
Bypass cables and auxiliary equipment used in the temporary transmission method, and the recently developed strain-resistant bypass cable and related equipment are discussed. The bypass cable used in this new method has a built-in polyaramide resistor for additional strain resistance, providing greatly improved performance. The development and spread of the bypass cable method has enabled work-related power shutoffs to be reduced to one-fourth the number required five years ago, and each year this level continues to decline further
