Abstract
Summary form only given. Principal-mode field equations that satisfy Maxwell´s equations to the first order in the normalized surface impedance of coaxial conductors are presented. The associated characteristic admittance and distributed line parameters are calculated. The distributed line resistance is seen to be significantly different from previous calculations found in the literature.<>
