Summary form only given. The possibility of the night photoregistrar use for the control of the strained sections of the high-voltage equipment is shown. The night photoregistrar with microchannel amplification was presented by Emelyanov (see Proc. 17th ISDEIV, Berkeley, California, vol.1, p.37-41, 1996). The photoregistrar was elaborated and manufactured using the technology of high-voltage nanosecond conditioning film electrodes of the microchannel image amplifier. A possibility of photoregistrar application for night photography of moving objects without additional illumination was shown by Emelyanov (see Proc. 3rd ICECAAA, X´ian, China, vol.1, p.49-56, 1997). A use of the microchannel image amplifier allows detection and registering of weak luminescence invisible to the naked eye. The possibility of photoregistrar application for detection and registration of luminescence provoked by stray currents on the chain insulators and corona discharge arising on high-voltage equipment was suggested. To examine this supposition, we studied the sections of high intensity of electric field for a 500 kV power substation. The inspection was conducted at midnight. One could see quite well with the assistance of the night photoregistrar the corona discharge luminescence arising on the sections of electric field high intensity. Corona discharge on the high-voltage equipment of the power substation at 500 kV are shown. The photographs were taken on film with the sensibility of 20DIN
