Abstract :
In cluster cache based k-hop clustered MANET routing protocol (CCBRP), cluster heads cache the information of remote clusters obtained during a route discovery process. When a remote destination is cached by a cluster head, RREP can be send to source directly by cluster head. By this way, the cost of route discovery is decreased. Route caches are maintained by cluster head and re-routing is minimized. Simulating results indicate that with the increase of node moving speed, communicating pairs and decrease of pausing time, CCBRP can rapidly decrease the cost of route discovery of whole network.
