Abstract :
In this paper, a bilayer microstrip patch antenna is analysed by introducing U-shaped slot and half U in a circular and semicircular patch respectively, the results in terms of return loss and radiation pattern are given. It is observed that various antenna parameters are obtained as a function of frequency for different value of slot length and width; the coaxial feed is used to excite the antenna. The simulated results obtained from Ansoft HFSS are given.
