Abstract :
Change, or rather the ability to change, is now an important feature of business. As a subject, business change is wide ranging. The point of view taken in the paper concerns business change in the context of IT systems, in particular, the use of IT in the context of a process orientation of the business model. Business change is a necessary and important part of business. Although much work on business processes and the IT support of business processes has concentrated on the operational elements, there is much scope for extending this thinking to the problems of change. Business change is itself a process. Process based IT has a role to play in supporting this
