Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present, from a practical point of view, an optimum switching strategy in very high-frequency, very high-power current-fed inverters for induction heating applications in general and for tube welding applications in particular. Some practical considerations for the short-circuit behaviour of the heating coil are also presented
