Abstract :
Based upon the piece-wise affine (PWA) model of closed-loop model predictive control (MPC) system and Lyapunov functions, stability analysis of the closed loop MPC system is studied. By trying to find piece-wise quadratic Lyapunov function over the statepsilas regions, which is cast as an LMI problem, the stability of closed-loop MPC system is analyzed. With further convex partition of the statepsilas regions, and thus increasing the possibility to find the piece-wise quadratic Lyapunov functions, the conservatism of the stability analysis is reduced. At the end of the paper, simulations for a vibration control of elevatorpsilas mechanical system are made.
