  • Abstract
Three distinct, but related concepts are discussed in this paper: a six step virtual enterprise life cycle, enterprise processes organized into three management functions and an organizational model known as integrated decentralization. When combined, the three conceptual models form an integrated enterprise management model that is equally applicable to single firms operating in extended enterprises and to multi-firm virtual enterprises. The structure and operating model of Northrop Grumman´s Commercial Aircraft Division is described to provide an example of a firm that conducts business using the integrated enterprise management model
