Abstract :
This paper has attempted to draw upon the issue of English teachers´ professional development with the purpose of promoting the development of English education in China. English teachers´ professional development can be achieved through reflection, which is regarded as an effective means to facilitate the process of teachers´ professional development. The paper makes a literature review of teacher reflection. Based on the related theories, the author presents case study to describe how teacher reflection can be employed in practice, and gives some suggestions on how to promote teachers´ professional development through teacher reflection.
