Abstract :
The paper describes process improvements made in supporting computer workstations in a large corporate environment. Over 10000 computer workstations are supported. Many are in engineering organizations, but workstations in manufacturing and business management organizations are also supported. A central support function was restructured to provide support in geographic zones. Other issues addressed include downsizing, product changes, increasingly more complex technology and new company initiatives
