Abstract :
All around the aviation world, there are various different size national and international organizations which study the aviation safety and which issue standards, regulations or guidelines. But there is no industry document which completely covers all requirements of a complete flight deck alerting system. Mostly the contents are similar in the documents, but somehow there are missing parts in each or some requirements are completely different from other sources due to the publishing authorities´ experiences or studies. This study simply tries to complete the design of a conceptual flight crew alerting system architecture with the results of a survey including 3 very common standards mostly for human factors aspects of the issue. The goal is not to show the completeness of the designed system but is to gather data from multiple sources for further designs and underlining the standards similarities and conflicts and to develop a conceptual system to gain an idea of the crew alerting system requirements and architecture.
