Abstract :
A novel algorithm for the analysis of a nonlinear metal-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MESFET) amplifier is presented. The algorithm is a hybrid method which uses both time- and frequency-domain analysis. However, unlike the harmonic balance method, the solution is optimized in the time domain where the exact error gradient matrix is calculated. The proposed method is shown to have excellent convergence speed and accuracy.<>
