  • Abstract
    A method for estimating induction motor´s rotor speed is proposed in this paper. The proposed rotor speed estimation method is based on model reference adaptive identification theory. By applying the proposed rotor speed estimation method, the induction motor control system can simultaneously estimate the stator resistance and the rotor speed of the induction motor. The proposed speed sensorless control system was built with Simulink blocks and verified by the simulation results. The simulation results indicate that the proposed rotor speed estimation method could operate stably in whole range of induction motor´s rotor speed.
