Abstract
This paper presents a TDMA-based medium-access control (MAC) protocol designed for wireless sensor networks, which aims at the primary goal of energy-efficient. In this protocol, through broadcasting control messages in their own scheduled slots, sensor nodes optimize the allocation of control-slots and adapt the size of control sub-frame in a distributed way, and reserve data-slots for data-packets to their one-hop neighbors. In addition, sleeping mechanism and power control technique are used to reduce energy-consumption.
