Abstract
As data warehouse plays a more and more important role in maintaining the operation, financing, marketing and HR in an enterprise, it has been key issues that we face to research and establish an informatization standard for the data warehouse in order to normalize its data storage, data sharing, and data communication. This paper considered the pattern of the ISO/lEC standards that fits into the category of an informatization standard framework from different points view, and then discussed the standardization and data model for the data warehouse in a large water and electricity enterprise of China to solve specific problems in data extraction from multiple data sources particularly some unformatted EXCEL-tables in the system. The standard will be developed as a national informatization standard.
