  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel safety assessment model of coal mines. According to the actual situation of coal production, based on the thought of multi-index fusion and extension theory, we constructed a safety assessment model that can completely indicate the state of coal mines safety. The application of information fusion technique can get more effective and reliable information about coal mines, thus it can get more accurate characteristic vector. Applying extension methodology, the problem of coal mine safety assessment can be solved by using qualitative means based on the extensibility of matter-element and quantitative means based on extension theory and dependent function. As an example, the proposed model was used to assess a concrete application. The result shows that the model is feasible and effective, and the assessment results are reasonable.
