Abstract :
We propose a link quality assured topology control algorithm for sensor network in this paper, which is based on the received signal strength indicator (RSSI). We take the uncertainty of wireless links into algorithm design consideration by adopting the quasi-UDG wireless communication model. LQATC can guarantee the network connectivity, link symmetry, and reasonable degree of nodes. Furthermore, it improves network performance in terms of energy efficiency and average interference degree. The algorithm is testified by comprehensive experiments. We also compare LQATC with two well known topology control algorithms: XTC and MOTC. The results show that LQATC achieves better performance by reducing the interference degree and improving the energy efficiency of sensors.
