Abstract :
The purpose of this work is the construction of a measuring system controlled by a personal computer that will accept signals from accelerometers i.e. acceleration transducers which will give information about the frequency spectrum of the vibrations and the wear of the radial ball bearings. The fatigue of the bearings comes from radial load and is measured by a load cell. In addition to that, digital signal processing methods were used in order to obtain useful information about when the ball bearing was about to be destroyed.
