Abstract
In this paper, a proportional solenoid (PS) in a proportional control valve has been examined. This PS consists of an armature and two preloaded spring. The analysis of the PS has been performed using finite element (FE) simulation. An axially symmetrical two dimensional (2D) FE model in ANSYS/Emag has been used taking into account all nonlinear effects. The electromagnetic force and flux linkage characteristics in all armature positions and in different currents are presented. These results to simulate the dynamic model of PS have been used in SEMULINK model by MATLAB software package. Finally, an acceptable model to predict of static and dynamic behaviour of valve has been presented.
