Abstract :
An Aerial Ad-Hoc Network, which utilizes Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) technology, would allow multiple aircraft to communicate with each other in-flight and share an internet gateway. This paper presents a Monte-Carlo simulation that characterizes the network failure rates that could be expected. In addition, we construct an agent-based model of the aerial ad-hoc network market to determine the steady state user levels that can be expected for the system given individual user satisfaction with the internet service.
