  • Abstract
The risk of fire is an important and permanent potential risk for a telecommunications operator. This risk requires a coherent policy of safety and security, the main element of which is automatic fire detection. Recent changes of organisation and development of equipment and services in this field of activity have involved an evolution of this risk; increases of the fire and smoke potentials and a necessity to have the most reliable security equipment. Here, a complementary system of detection is described. It is a high sensitivity system, allowing very early alarm. It is considered as a technical alarm for technical staff in charge of the working and maintenance of telecommunications equipment
