Abstract :
This paper presents the local planning to introduce wind power into small-scaled rural power system. To determine both characters under normal and fault conditions of hybrid system, the limitation of wind power capacity is first determined; the static stability under normal operation is verified by using the regular and irregular wind speed of installation site. The fluctuant range of electric parameters is applied to test dynamic stability cursing from connecting activities and system short circuit on the buses connected to wind power farm. The impact current of three-phase short circuit is used for verifying grid voltage and carrying ability of system breakers that link existing power system and wind power farm. As the final result, this paper provides the concrete number of wind power capacity that could be safely introduced into the small local power system.
