Abstract :
This paper presents new topologies of full-bridge series-resonant type 48 V 200 A rectifier units as battery chargers for telecommunication systems. Two advantageous points of this topology are shown: one improves the reverse recovery characteristic of the anti-parallel-diode of the main switching devices; and the other improves audible noise under light load conditions. A prototype unit is realized which is 3.0 cc/W in size and 2.7 g/W in weight. Conversion efficiency is 92%
