Abstract :
Unsymmetrical peak of chromatography can be divided into two classes, tailing peak and leading peak. For formation of tailing peak, current plate theory can present very simple and normal explanation, but it can not explain formation of leading peak. This paper attempted to propose a unified academic explanation for the formation of leading peak and tailing peak by using slip mechanism which is based upon current plate theory.
