Abstract
The modern operational concept of naval integrated Combat System (C/S) focuses on a key performance indicator that is the System Effectiveness as an integrated vision of the capability of the System to perform its mission and the probability for the System to be available to perform its mission. An innovative integrated approach based on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineering has been defined for the System Effectiveness evaluation. The C/S Effectiveness can be evaluated through algorithms based on a combination of the Integrated Functional Breakdown (IFB) and an FMECA approach at C/S level.
