Abstract :
To study the function of CNV p20 in planta, its bioinformation was analyzed using the software online. The CNV p20 protein sequence was aligned with TBSV p19, a strong RNA silencing suppressor (RSS). The secondary and crystal structure analysis of CNV p20 predicted that it was a RSS based on sequence similar with protein of known function. According to the result of the molecular biology experiments, CNV p20 was required for suppression of GFP transgene silencing. The function of CNV p20 was successfully predicted with its bioinformation and identified with the molecular biology analysis.
