Allows UAS to detect both cooperative and non-cooperative targets, and hence reduces the risk of collisions. — Works the same by day and night and in all weather. — The computational time is much smaller than direct PF approach. — Malfunction of communication system can be identified by cross-check with radar system outcomes.
