Abstract :
To show a computer screen on a large display, so far, wired cable connections like VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort are mainly used. Recently, wireless display technology is becoming popular, especially on mobile devices like PCs, tablets, and smartphones. “Tap to Display” is a connection method triggered by an NFC tap operation. It enables users to show the desktop screen of his PC on the destination Miracast Sink device wirelessly without any extra user intervention - no wired cable connection and no extra Wi-Fi parameter settings. In this paper, the implementation of the “Tap to Display” experience is discussed. Also discussed is the NFC event handling library which dispatches private NFC tag events to several software components.
