Abstract

A new network service, designed to enrich the life styles of the subscribers by helping in their daily activities in a regional community or in groups, using PCs (personal computers) is discussed. To provide the service, a new network function and cost effective hardware and software are described. A feasibility experiment is mentioned where the main customers are housewives and children in a clustered distribution regional area supported by a fibre to the home (FTTH) system
