Abstract :
There are numerous methods to achieve Web service composition, ranging from semi-automatic to on-the-fly automated processes. This paper proposes an approach to semantic Web service composition based on an AI-planning-like algorithm, which proceeds in a depth-first state-space search manner. Features include name matching, semantic similarity computation, cycle detection and optimization. The system gives users the flexibility of altering various parameters relating to the depth of composition, ontology matching threshold and other factors, prior to launching the composition process. A typical test scenario is also presented.
