Abstract :
The impact of narrowband interference on ultra-wideband (UWB) communications systems and inversely, the impact of UWB signals on narrowband systems are discussed. An analog and digital narrowband rejection system for UWB receivers is presented and evaluated. This rejection system is shown to offer significant communications system improvement in the presence of strong interferers.
