Abstract :
On behalf of the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS), it gives me great pleasure to welcome everyone to the 49th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), being held in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. I thank all the authors for choosing this venue to present their research work, and all the other participants who are contributing to the success of this scientific event. I am sure that every attendee will enjoy the rich technical, professional and social activities offered by the organizers.
