Abstract
Chemical product development and manufacture process fill with complicated technical problems. In order to find a solution for process operation system information development, a data integration model is proposed based on STEP and XML technologies. The theory and methodology of information integration of process industry are discussed. A chemical experimental platform is introduced, which is developed in kilogram-scale, and especially for fine and specialties chemicals in batches. To realize the optimization and control of the experimental platform, data services are presented based on STEP/XML data integration model. Finally, in order to verify the function of proposed model and the performance of the platform, a case study on nipagin ethyl ester process is carried out.
