Abstract :
A small signal model is developed for a new asymmetrical half-bridge (AHB) DC-DC converter using the state space averaging method. This topology offers the advantages of small transformer size, reduced output ripple current, and ZVS operation for a larger range of load variation at the expense of higher order system. The results of the analysis are verified using a 1.2 kW prototype
