Abstract :
The sustainability concern has shaped a new approach to product innovation in 21st century. Greening the product innovation (GPI) is believed to positively impact the environment, as well as the economic growth. However, review of literatures indicates that firms are still ambiguous to embark on GPI, partly because they do not know what capabilities are required for such an effort. This paper aims to explore the relevant capabilities needed for GPI and propose a conceptual model to demonstrate their interplay. The model could provide a basis for further research in this domain.
