Abstract :
The ability of rapid response has become more and more as a competitive advantage for enterprises in the modern market. However, it can not be realized without an advanced methodology been applied in the present manufacturing environment which demands the production of various quality products at reasonable costs due to globalization, mass customization, supply chain management efficiencies and just-in-time purchasing and production, shorter production lead time, and customer demand uncertainty. Although the TOC approach has been successfully been applied in many enterprises, but there are still some problems remains. This paper introduces a new TOC method proposed by Eli Schragenheim named S-DBR(simplified- drum-buffer-rope) which used to deal with the problems that appears in traditional TOC implementations, and few examples has been used to demonstrate the methodology.
