Abstract :
To improve the efficiency and quality of finite element modeling, a rule-based finite element modeling method was put forward. By employing preprocessing knowledge of FEA, rules of FEA were set up. based on UGNX software. By employing knowledge representation language- UG/KF, FEA modeling rules were expressed in class style based on UGNX software platform. And the rules were fused with finite element modeling process in Advanced UGNX Simulation Module environment. Finally an example about lathe spindle finite element modeling is illustrated to prove the effectiveness of the method.
