  • Abstract
Mobile learning should take into account main features and limitations of learner cognitive architecture. The paper provides a brief overview of cognitive architecture and sources of cognitive load, and analyzes methods for reducing cognitive load, which are participatory design, resource location agents, reducing extraneous cognitive load by interactivity. The paper also discussions the usability of mobile learning. The aim is to transfer learner behavioral activity into cognitive interactivity that generates essential cognitive processing relevant to knowledge construction without increasing non-essential extraneous processing load.
