Abstract :
Organic photochromic materials have been dispersed in transparent polymer matrices, which upon excitation with two photons allow for storing and accessing information in 3D. The writing and accessing of the information has been performed either bit by bit or in a 2D multibit plane format. Material and system characteristics are studied and are discussed in some detail
