Abstract :
The authors present a solution to compute the maximum bounds on token holding times of different places in different states of a time Petri net. Some background information on time Petri nets is given. This solution may also be used to identify invalid states. The approach is based on backfiring of transitions in the time Petri net. The application of these results is in the areas of monitoring system state and fault detection
