  • Abstract
    In this paper, a practical test-bed is set up to monitor the performance of TCP over GPRS. From the observations of our experiment, it is found that the efficiency of fast retransmission algorithm in GPRS network is not as good as that in wired environment. Thus a modified version of this method is proposed in this paper. The experiment results show that the modified algorithm can reduce the delay of retransmission and achieve better performance over GPRS network.
