Abstract
The modified optimal coordination approach is used to design a braking system for a heavy dump truck taking raw material along a mine road from the mine to the first material collection point. The system is described and the mathematical model is developed. Performance specifications and the control design are given. The results obtained by using this technique compare well with those obtained by using the method of inequalities
