Abstract :
The wireless LANs are gaining popularity day by day in the corporate environment. The main obstacle in implementation of wireless LANs is the security concern of the corporates as the wireless media is considered to be inherently insecure. So we proposed multilayered security architecture and to provide quality of service in this architecture for the real time applications like multimedia, we make use of Cisco fast secure roaming and found the delays present during handoff for the EAP-TLS, LEAP authentication methods in the scenarios during initial full authentication and fast authentication. From the results we observed that LEAP faster authentication is having lesser delay of ∼50 msec as compared to EAP-TLS which is having ∼100 msec.
