Abstract
High mobility and scalability are the two vital issues to be considered while aiming reliable data dissemination in a Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET). As the vehicles are expected to depart at road junctions often, the routing protocol initiates an expensive route discovery process more frequently. Static node assisted adaptive data dissemination (SADV) protocol has attempted to increase the delivery ratio for medium and low vehicular densities at the road junctions. However, in a real time scenario, vehicular density at the road junction is higher than that of the roads. Our proposed method attempts to enhance the data dissemination when the vehicular density is high at the junction and as well on the road. This paper introduces a moving cluster assisted routing for scalable networks. It is observed that the mobile cluster significantly improves the connection time and thereby packet delivery ratio too.
