Abstract
The paper presents a detailed comparison between different speed controllers for elastic two-mass systems with only a motor-side speed transducer. Each controller has been first simulated, then experimentally tested on a special mechanical test bench, featuring adjustable inertia, elasticity and load disturbance. The implementation complexity of each controller is also discussed
