Abstract
This paper presents a novel estimation method of DC condenser voltage ripple for three-wire active power filters (APF) based on current decomposition. Effects on DC condenser ripple of an APF, which relates with three-phase compensating current characteristics such as three-phase balancing or harmonics distribution, are investigated. An optimal capacitance of DC condenser for active filter is found
