  • Abstract
    Solid-state compositions containing copper(II) chloride, halide ions (X-), and natural clinoptilolite (N-CLI) were obtained. N-CLI and CuCl2-KX/N-CLI samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction phase analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, water vapor adsorption, and pH-metry. In addition, they were tested in the reaction of sulfur dioxide oxidation with air oxygen. As found, N-CLI has no protective properties against sulfur dioxide and the protective time of CuCl2-KX/N-CLI increases in the order Cl- <; Br- <; I-.
